I’m changing things up a bit today and bringing you a review from my other half’s perspective! I first bought him Soapwalla’s Deodorant Cream to try out way back in 2013 in an attempt to replace his aerosol sprays with a natural alternative and I’m happy to say he jumped straight on the Soapwalla bandwagon! Here’s what he had to say when I asked him to write a little review:
“I’ve tried almost every conventional deodorant and anti-perspirant spray available in the past. They’d all work well at first, but then stop working after a few weeks so I’d be using them several times a day. Soapwalla have found the alternative to being choked by the fumes of those ineffective sprays. I found it pretty weird to apply a cream under my arms at first, but soon got used to it after a couple of days.
One thing to point out is it melts in warmer weather, but that’s not really a problem for me. You don’t need to use much, and the effects are so long lasting that you only need one use a day. It keeps performing over time too. It may be more expensive, but you get more from your money and this stuff really works. I’m converted! ”
A pretty great review there for his first time right? Hopefully I’ll get him to do some more reviews in future! Although I’ve not used this myself, I couldn’t be happier as I can totally attest to the fact it works – yep, I’ve done the sniff test and he has never been less stinky in the years that I’ve known him!! He really likes the scent of this deodorant too which is predominantly tea tree with a hint of lavender and peppermint. Some people can find the Sodium Bicarbonate can aggravate the skin, but he’s never experienced any irritation at all.
Update 2020: He still uses and loves this deodorant 7+ years later! Soapwalla have have rebranded since the original review (photos updated) and it now comes packaged in a glass jar instead of plastic.
Remember this stuff isn’t just for men either, it’s a unisex product and I know a lot of the green beauty blogging ladies have used this deodorant too! It retails for £18 for 2oz/57g and is available in the UK from Content Beauty and Naturisimo.
Have you tried Soapwalla’s Deodorant Cream before?
