When it comes to natural and organic makeup RMS Beauty are undoubtedly one of the first brands that come to mind. Loved by natural beauty fans and “mainstream” beauty lovers alike, RMS Beauty products have developed a cult favourite status within the world of cosmetics. The success of RMS Beauty isn’t surprising considering the range has been developed by makeup artist Rose-Marie Swift using only the highest quality natural and organic ingredients.
The first product I decided to try from the RMS product range is the “Un” Cover-Up – one of their most talked about products! It’s primarily a concealer but it can also be used as a light foundation. It’s currently available in 5 shades ranging from snow white pale #00 (e.g. Nicole Kidman) to darker tan #44 (e.g. Halle Berry). I use the shade #11 for light skin and although it has a slightly yellow undertone, it does somehow adapt to my more neutral skin tone and blends really well. I swatched it heavily below so you can see the subtle yellow tone.
I find it best to apply this product with my fingers as the heat really helps the concealer to blend into the skin seamlessly. As it contains several oils, you don’t have to use moisturiser beforehand if you have normal or oily skin. If you have dry patches though I would definitely recommend moisturising before applying as it can cling to and accentuate these areas.
I would say it offers moderate coverage but still allows your skin to shine through. It covers redness and blemishes well and I can even get away with using this as an under-eye concealer occasionally on days when the dark circles under my eyes aren’t so bad. It does have a tendency to settle and crease around my eyes though so setting it with a powder is a must! Once it’s set it lasts around 8 hours for me which personally I find really impressive considering it’s an all natural product. Plus you can always re-apply later on in the day if need be!
Similarly to a lot of high quality natural products, the price tag is a little steep at £36.00. It’s widely available to purchase online – here in the UK you can find it at Content Beauty or Naturisimo. I was actually a bit shocked by how tiny the glass pot is when I first got it as not many of the reviews I read before had mentioned it. It only contains 5.67g of product but it will last a long time as you don’t need to use much when you apply. It’s safe to say I love this product (despite the price tag!) and I’m definitely looking forward to trying more from RMS Beauty in the future!

(UPDATE: I’ve since stopped using this product unfortunately as I found it was causing me to get more milia around my eyes with frequent use – most likely from the coconut oil!)
Have you tried any RMS Beauty products? What would you recommend I should try next?
