Organic skincare products will forever have pride of place in my daily routine! I’ve been enjoying using Nourish London’s products daily for a few weeks and can’t wait to share them with you. Just in case you’re not already familiar with Nourish London, they’re a great British organic, vegan and cruelty-free skincare brand. Each product is scientifically developed, made with a high percentage of organic ingredients and many are certified organic by the Soil Association, the UK’s largest organic certification body (read more about what certified organic means).
The whole range is also certified by The Vegan Society. They don’t use any animal derived ingredients and their products are never tested on animals. Most of their packaging is recyclable (glass bottles, cardboard boxes, biodegradable packing peanuts) with the exception of the pump dispensers. You can check out TerraCycle to see if there’s a programme locally to recycle these.
Nourish London Relax Skincare Essentials
Nourish London’s Skincare Essentials* starter kits are a great way to try a new range of products to see how they work for you. They’re also travel-friendly too! There’s a different set available for each range; Relax, Protect, Radiance, Balance, and Argan Anti-Ageing. Each set comes with a fair-trade organic cotton zip bag too which I’m currently re-using as a makeup bag!
The Relax range is for sensitive skin prone to reactions and stress. These products focus on soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients to calm and help protect the skin against damage.
Step 1: Relax Softening Cleanser
The routine starts with the Relax Softening Cleanser. It’s a super gentle cream cleanser made with 94% organic ingredients. To use, you sweep a small amount over the face with a washable cotton round and rinse with cool water. It has a lovely relaxing lavender scent so I love using this one at night to leave my skin feeling soft and calm.
Step 2: Relax Soothing Toning Mist
The second step is the Relax Soothing Toning Mist. I’ll admit that toner was actually missing from my routine for a couple of years, so it’s been really nice to re-introduce this step again! This toner helps to balance skin’s pH, soothes the skin and preps for serum/moisturiser. Again, it has that relaxing lavender scent which is perfect for the evening!
Step 3: Relax Hydrating Peptide Serum
Next up in the routine is hydration from the Relax Hydrating Peptide Serum. This one contains hyaluronic acid to lock in moisture and tripeptides help stimulate the production of collagen in the skin. You can also choose to use the serum after moisturiser instead if you prefer a more dewy look. It leaves my skin feeling really calm and refreshed!
Step 4: Relax Calming Moisturiser
Last, but not least, is the Relax Calming Moisturiser. This is one of Nourish London’s award winning products! I find this moisturiser is ideal for daytime use and makes a great base for makeup. It sinks in to the skin quickly which is always a huge plus for me – no greasy feeling left behind!
My skin has been a little red and stressed lately and I’m not exaggerating when I say this skincare routine instantly calms and soothes my skin! I was amazed the first time I used these products to see any redness faded away and my skin felt so much calmer! I’ve been really enjoying this whole skincare routine and will happily repurchase these products again in the future!
Argan Skin Rescue Review
I’ve also been testing out Nourish London’s Argan Skin Rescue*. This intensive face oil is a total saviour for dry, irritated and damaged skin. It’s an anti-ageing treatment that helps to enhance natural collagen, repair the skin and protect against further damage from environmental stresses. The key ingredients are argan oil, Abyssinian kale and bitter orange oil to boost skin elasticity, suppleness and hydration.
It has a thicker consistency than your average face oil so a little really goes a long way. If I’m using this in the daytime, I need to wait a while for it to absorb before applying makeup. I think it’s because my skin is more on the normal side of things, so I prefer to use this as an overnight intensive treatment. The only downside of this product is the scent combination of ginger and bitter orange/neroli just isn’t for me personally, although it is relatively subtle!
The result the next morning is smoother, hydrated and glowy skin. I think if my skin was drier this could easily be a daily feature in my routine. At the moment though, an overnight treatment a few times a week is enough to give my skin a little boost from the drying effects of central heating in the cold winter weather!
You can find these products and their other skincare ranges online from Nourish London.
