If you’ve ever experienced a problem skin condition like eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, and even bites and rashes, you’ll know how great it is to discover a product that helps to soothe and heal the skin. Lyonsleaf’s Calendula Cream is one of those miracle-working products! Lyonsleaf is one of the few brands that ticks all the right boxes for me, and continues to do so over 6 years after I first discovered their products.
About Lysonsleaf
Just in case you haven’t heard of them before, Lyonsleaf use home-grown ingredients from their farm in Somerset, England to make their range award-winning skincare products. Their products are all waterless which means they don’t need the anti-microbial preservatives that can often irritate sensitive skin. Being waterless also means the products are more potent and so effective that you only need you use them sparingly.
Lyonsleaf have a really lovely product range designed for sensitive skin and chronic skin conditions, but their products are also ideal if you love minimal yet effective natural ingredients too. They have a lot of great information on their website about how the skin works and all about various chronic skin conditions. You can check out some of my previous reviews of their products like their Beauty Balm here and Body Butter here.
Lyonsleaf Calendula Cream Review
The Calendula Cream has been a repeat purchase for me over the years. It’s one of those must-have remedies for the whole family – it’s suitable for both adults and children over 3 years. Calendula is often considered one of the best natural alternatives to topical steroids as it’s such a powerful anti-inflammatory that helps to promote healing and regeneration of the skin.
I love that it’s made with 100% natural plant oils, home-grown herbs and it’s only fragranced with essential oils. You can use it anywhere on the body and even on your face if needed. It’s an emollient which means it’s designed to soothe, hydrate and soften dry/irritated skin – it really does do exactly that! It’s ideal for soothing a wide variety of mild skin conditions from eczema, psoriasis and dermatitis to acne, insect bites and rashes.
The cream comes in a little 30ml glass jar (fully recyclable) which I find is perfect for occasional use for localised skin issues and eczema flare-ups as a little really does go a long way. The 30ml is priced at £11.99. It’s also available in larger jars too if you’re in need of relief for a more widespread skin condition.
It’s a definite essential in my skincare cabinet and I reach for it at the first sign of any dry, irritated skin, eczema flares, grazes, rashes and bites. My other half recently had a small rash which completely cleared up within 2 days of using the calendula cream. It genuinely works wonders to instantly soothe the skin and I really can’t recommend this product enough!
