Lyonsleaf made a great first impression on me last year when I first tried their Beauty Balm (reviewed here), so I was excited to receive a package with more to try more from the range. For the past few weeks I’ve been testing out the 100% Natural Body Butter* and it’s safe to say it’s another product from the brand that’s become a favourite in my routine!
Lyonsleaf Body Butter is made up of rich, hydrating ingredients: organic shea butter, coconut, avocado and sweet almond oils. It’s highly concentrated and made without water, so you only need to use a small amount to see the moisturising benefits. The consistency is almost solid in the jar at room temperature, similar to a balm, but very quickly melts on contact with the skin. It was a little bit of a learning curve for me figuring out how much product to use, but when you get just the right amount (not too much!) it absorbs into the skin within a minute or two, leaving no greasy residue behind.
As well as the moisture-boosting ingredients, a blend of essential oils are included which help to balance the skin and give a lovely scent too. I love that calendula also features in this body butter as it has rejuvenating and healing properties. I’ve been noticing those pesky keratosis pilaris bumps on the back of my arms improve when using this daily and it does a great job keeping skin hydrated. After applying, I often use up whatever residue is left on my hands through the dry ends of my hair which actually works really well for a quick de-frizz and condition between washes!
For such a high quality 95% organic product, I think it’s so reasonably priced at £12.95. It’s even better value when such a little goes a long way too – I’m only a quarter of the way through after several weeks! Lyonsleaf are one of just a few brands that I honestly can’t fault at all and I highly recommend checking out their website to find out more about the brand and some really great information on natural skincare ingredients too!
