Are you on the lookout for a game-changing addition to your makeup bag? Well, look no further – Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer is about to become your new best friend!

If you’re all about embracing clean beauty and are passionate about using natural and cruelty-free products, then this concealer is an absolute must-have. Lily Lolo is the first clean makeup brand I tried when I first started switching to natural beauty products over a decade ago! They have a great reputation for creating high-quality cosmetics that not only enhance your features, but also take care of your skin too.

In this review, I’m sharing why the Lily Lolo Concealer deserves a prime spot in your makeup routine. From its impeccable coverage to its clean ingredients, this little gem of a product should be on every makeup lover’s radar. Say goodbye to those pesky dark circles and blemishes, and hello to flawless, naturally radiant skin!

About Lily Lolo

Lily Lolo is a British natural cosmetics brand specialising in mineral makeup. You’ll find a wide range of high-quality products, including foundation, concealer, eyeshadow, and lipstick, all formulated with clean and natural ingredients. Lily Lolo’s products are also known for being cruelty-free and 90% of their products are vegan-friendly too.

Lily Lolo are one of the OG clean beauty brands that are hugely popular not just here in the UK, but have reached cult beauty status worldwide too!

Honest Review of Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer

Let’s dive into my review of the Lily Lolo mineral Concealer. I’m sharing my honest opinion on this product and I’ll highlight its pros and cons too. I first bought this concealer way back in February 2013 and have repurchased many times since then – a sure sign it’s a good one!

Pros

As far as the basics, this concealer is vegan, non-comedogenic and made with just a handful of clean, mineral ingredients.

One of the standout features of this concealer is its long-lasting coverage. It does a great job at camouflaging those pesky dark circles, giving you a flawless complexion that lasts throughout the day. No need to worry about touch-ups which is always a win!

I love how lightweight this mineral formula is. No-one wants a concealer to feel heavy or cakey on their skin, right? This concealer feels light and breathable, allowing your skin to still feel fresh and natural, but somehow with alllll of the coverage you need too!

It’s ideal for days when I’m only wearing mineral makeup and going for a more natural look – it stops me looking too much like a zombie! I think £11 is a pretty reasonable price for a concealer that actually works too and has such simple ingredients.

In terms of application, it blends effortlessly with a brush for a seamless soft matte finish. And just incase you’re worried about the potential mess of mineral powder, the handy lockable sifter helps prevent any spills.

Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer is a great clean alternative swap for the bareMinerals Loose Powder Concealer (which I wouldn’t recommend as it contains bismuth oxychloride).

Cons

As for the downside, the shade range if fairly limited to lighter skin tones and could be improved. There’s only 4 pale, light, light-medium and medium shades available, so some of you will find it challenging to find your perfect match unfortunately.

Overall though, if you have a paler skin tone and looking for a lightweight concealer with decent coverage and easy application, Lily Lolo mineral Concealer could be worth giving a try.

Swatches of Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer

I personally use the shade “Barely Beige” which is to suit light skin tones. The other shades are “Blondie” (very pale), “Nude” (light-medium) and “Caramel” (medium). Unfortunately, there are no shades for darker skin tones.

You always ask for swatches as the best way to show you how a product performs. Here’s a before and after comparison with a slightly (very!) creepy close up of my eye… I have very dark under eye circles thanks to two young children that don’t like sleep! As you can tell it makes a big difference to my dark circles and certainly keeps me looking more alive! Honestly, I can’t believe how seamlessly it blends making it look like my natural skin.

Application Tips for Using Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer Effectively

I’ve had this concealer on repeat purchase for over 10 years now, so I know all the tips and tricks to help you make the most of your Lily Lolo Mineral Concealer. I’m sure you all know the struggle of dark circles and blemishes, but this little pot of powder magic is here to save the day!

Personal preference: I like to apply my concealer before foundation as the shade is slightly lighter. If you have lower coverage needs, then apply after your foundation can help you use less product.

To tackle those dark circles, start by applying a small amount of concealer under your eyes where coverage is needed most with a small concealer brush. Small, circular motions work well for a seamless look, and you can also gently blend it in using tapping/stippling motions for greater coverage. This will give you the most natural and seamless finish that looks just like your own skin but better!

For blemishes and other imperfections, you only need a tiny amount of concealer directly onto the spot and lightly blend it out using a clean small brush. The key here is to build up thin, light layers until you achieve the desired coverage without caking on too much product.

Blending techniques are more important than you might think! Remember to be gentle and avoid tugging at your skin, especially around the eyes. Patting or stippling motions work wonders for achieving that flawless finish.
