The Body Deli are one of those brands that really stand out from the crowd with their unique product formulas, containing an abundance of natural, raw superfood ingredients. I absolutely love this brand as the performance of each product I’ve tried has completely exceeded my expectations and blown me away! My favourites from their range so far are the shampoo and conditioner. The Body Deli recommend use for 90 days for best results, but even after 30 I’ve noticed some amazing results so I just had to share my review with you. They’re unlike any other haircare products I’ve tried before!
First up there’s the Living Hair Sprouted Mineral Greens Shampoo*. Formulated with raw sprouted green juices, botanicals/herbs, sea vegetables and pure essential oils, this shampoo is designed to help thicken the hair and aid in regrowth. I can tell you now it really does do just that! You use it in the usual way, massaging into wet hair for a couple of minutes before rinsing. If you’re used to conventional shampoos, it does feel a little different as it’s low sudsing, but if you already use natural shampoo you might find this actually foams more so than some you’ve tried. It’s suitable for all hair types and is safe to use on colour treated hair.
So that I don’t use it up too quickly, I actually wash my hair with another shampoo first, then wash again with this shampoo, just focussing on the scalp. You only need to use a small amount – I find about a pump and a half is perfect for me (about the size of a quarter or 10 pence). The shampoo is green in colour and has the most amazing fresh minty scent! The ingredients in this shampoo rejuvenate hair follicles (to promote growth) and feed the hair shafts, giving shine and volume to dull hair. I’ve definitely noticed an increased growth rate in my hair since using this shampoo, along with more shine and enhanced colour too!

Of course there’s the perfect companion to the shampoo – the Living Hair Sprouted Mineral Greens Conditioner*. It also contains a variety of raw superfood ingredients to nourish, strengthen, hydrate and add volume without weighing hair down. It’s green in colour just like the shampoo, but has a thicker consistency and a mostly orangey, but slightly herby, scent.
This conditioner is amazing for healing dry and damaged hair thanks to the restorative properties of dandelion, kale and spinach (just to name a few!) and the moisture boosting aloe vera juice and shea butter. I use about two pumps (although it says on the bottle to apply a generous amount, I’m trying to make it last!) through the lengths of my hair and leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing. Since using this conditioner along with the shampoo, I’ve noticed my hair is softer and seems to be much less brittle, somehow with a lot more body but a lot less frizz too!

The one and only caveat to this fantastic duo is the price! In the UK, each bottle costs £18.50 (from abeautifulworld.co.uk), and I’ll be completely honest when I say I always thought it was crazy to spend that much on a shampoo or conditioner… but, that was before I experienced first hand how incredible these products are! I don’t have the biggest budget to work with when it comes to my beauty products, but even so, I am absolutely willing to make an exception and purchase these products again! I’m also thinking each bottle is going to last me at least 6 months, possibly even up to 8 months at the rate I’ve been using them. I only need to wash my hair twice per week too, so that’s definitely a factor which helps it last and makes the price a lot more justifiable for me!
Overall, I honestly can’t recommend The Body Deli Shampoo & Conditioner enough, especially if you need help with boosting hair growth and volume, or if you want to rejuvenate dull and limp hair. These products are so unique, such high quality and they really do perform! I think this is what you guys would call a rave review 😉
Have you tried this shampoo and conditioner before, or any other products from The Body Deli?
