When it comes to facial cleansing, balms are by far my favourite type of product to use. Balms feel so luxurious and I always look forward to using them! I first tried this Facial Cleansing Balm from Suti over a year ago now and I just loved everything about it! Suti are a British skincare brand based on the principles of Energy Healing, using 100% natural/plant-based ingredients in their products (most of which are also Soil Association certified organic). The ingredients are carefully selected based not only on their physical scientific benefits, but also considering historical links to mythology and their purpose within nature. I found it really interesting to read more about Suti’s unique approach and energetic intentions for their products.
This is the only product I’ve tried from Suti so far, but they instantly made a great impression with the packaging – from the cardboard box, with a lovely botanical illustration on the side, to the glass jar, organic (unbleached cotton) muslin cloth and spatula housed inside. It may be a little superficial of me, but I can’t help but be drawn to pretty products in glass packaging that look luxurious sitting amongst the skincare stash! The balm itself is intended for purification and I love the uplifting scent and smooth consistency once it melts into an oil on the skin.
The ingredients include a blend of shea butter, avocado, sunflower and apricot kernel oils to soften and nourish the skin, as well as lime, geranium and lavender essential oils to name a few. You only need to use a small amount to massage over the face, cleansing the skin and dissolving makeup and traces of dirt effortlessly. The muslin cloth rinsed with warm water is perfect for gentle exfoliation and buffing away the last traces of the balm and makeup. It really is a luxury to use and my skin is always left feeling so soft and balanced after cleansing with this balm! I will definitely be keeping Suti in mind to try more products in the future – the Peppermint Water and Nourish Face Oil for Night have in particular caught my eye!
Priced at £33.00, Suti’s Facial Cleansing Balm and the rest of their product range is available from various retailers worldwide – see list of stockists.
