My Sample Stash posts seem to be getting further and further apart! I have so many other products I want to use I often forget all about my little box filled with samples sitting at the back of my dressing table! For the past week though I’ve made an effort to use up a few of the samples in my stash so I can share my initial thoughts. Here’s what I’ve been using…
Evolve Perfect Radiance Facial Polish (100ml £12.99): This kind of smelt like cardboard to me – slightly strange! My face felt very soft after using this but also a little tight, red and irritated. This scrub is probably too abrasive for my skin personally, but if your skin isn’t sensitive this could work for you.
Santaverde Light Aloe Vera Cream (30ml £28.00): I liked using this cream and got a good few uses out of the sample sachet. It absorbs into the skin quickly and is light enough to use under makeup. I’m not the best at describing scents but it’s kind of light, sweet and fruity! It contains some great skin replenishing ingredients, the main one being aloe vera of course, but it also contains Olive derived Squalane (which I’m a huge fan of since using Indie Lee’s Squalane Oil – reviewed here).
Mendill Tangerine Towelette (£10.00 for pack of 20): This tangerine wet wipe states on that packet that it is antiseptic and calming. Tangerine is also thought to promote happiness and help with nervousness and anxiety. I usually love citrus scents but this one isn’t really my cup of tea unfortunately. I used this to wipe down table tops and wipe away dust.
Weleda Oat Replenishing Shampoo (190ml £8.95): I really liked this shampoo! It’s perfect for dry hair that needs a good moisture boost – essentially my hair in a nutshell. After a double wash my hair felt amazingly soft and moisturised, even without conditioner and my hair still felt good the next day too! I would probably use this shampoo once every week or two for a big moisture boost and will definitely be purchasing this at some point.
