Bodhi Mint Thé Refreshing Bath & Shower Therapy (full size RRP £23.00)
Bodhi send a free sample with every order from their site so when I ordered the Jasmine Falls Duet (reviewed here) a while ago this was the sample sachet I received. Where I like using the Jasmine Falls Shower Therapy at night time to relax, I think I’ll have to purchase the Mint Thé to use in the mornings to help wake me up! Refreshing smells are probably my favourite kind and the scents that really stood out to me were the Peppermint, Spearmint and Eucalyptus. I used this yesterday morning before going to a wedding – it was sooo refreshing and I totally loved it!
Macadamia Natural Oil Deep Repair Masque (250ml RRP £26.95 – currently £13.94 at Beauty Bay!)
I’ve actually used this a good few times before but only ever the sachets as I prefer to only use this for occasions when I want my hair to smell like I’ve just been to the hairdressers! It’s not completely natural as the fragrance is synthetic as far as I’m aware and also I think a couple of the other ingredients too. Personally I’m not overly fussy about that as it’s not actually going on my skin, so I still like using this as a bit of a treat every now and then as a change from my usual coconut oil hair mask! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone with dry hair as it really does a great job moisture boosting.
John Masters Organics Linden Blossom Face Creme Cleanser (full size RRP £22.00)
Unfortunately this is the first natural product that I’ve had a bad reaction to. Those of you who follow me on Twitter would have seen me tweet about it this morning. Halfway through massaging the cleanser into my face my skin started to feel like it was burning so I quickly washed it off to find my face looking pretty raw and bright red! The redness and burning sensation luckily subsided after about an hour but my skin is still feeling a little tender as I write this now.
I’m not sure whether it was a specific ingredient or a combination of ingredients that caused the reaction, but there are a few ingredients listed that I haven’t used in other skincare before so I have my suspicions! Obviously this effect this had is unique to me so I wouldn’t discourage you from trying it for yourself as it might work perfectly for you! I just think it’s important to remember that even though a product is natural and says it is suitable for sensitive skin, it’s still possible that you may have an adverse reaction to the ingredients. It’s always a good idea to try and get your hands on sample sized products where possible simply to test for your skin’s reactions!
John Masters Organics Blood Orange & Vanilla Body Wash (full size RRP £18.00)
Another John Masters product, but I’m glad to say I had no bad reactions to this one! I did quite like this; the scent was very subtle, it lathered slightly and was quite moisturising too. Only thing is it didn’t particularly wow me or make me think ooooh I really want to use this again. If I came across another sample sachet of this though I would happily use it!
Have you tried any of these products before? Let me know if you’ve had any similar bad reactions to any products recently too!
