Desert Essence Organics Bulgarian Lavender Hand & Body Lotion (full size RRP £8.99)
I used this as a body lotion after showering this morning and it did a brilliant job of moisturising my skin. It absorbs really easily and, as the name would suggest, has a strong lavender scent. Personally, lavender isn’t one of my favourite smells, so, although the results are great, I won’t be purchasing this in full size. I will however be investigating if this brand has other hand & body lotions that my nose may better appreciate!
Green People Oy! 3-in-1 Cleanser, Make-Up Remover & Moisturiser (full size RRP £9.95)
This was quite disappointing to be honest. It was ineffective at removing my make-up, particularly around the eyes, so I then had to use my usual cleanser afterwards. It also had a bit of an odd smell and left my skin feeling a little uncomfortable with a strange residue. Needless to say I won’t be purchasing this.
Madara Deep Moisture Gel (full size RRP £24.00)
This moisturiser is for oily-combination skin and claims to minimise pores, control excess oil/reduce shine and soothe irritated skin. It is an unconventional gel in the way that it is quite runny as opposed to a thick gel. It’s specifically for using in the daytime and I did find it reduced the appearance of visible pores. I’m undecided whether or not I will purchase this… I may need to try another sample to decide as the full size is quite expensive!
Green People Intensive Repair Conditioner (full size RRP £10.99)
Unfortunately this was another disappointing product from Green People. It has a very light aloe vera scent which is pleasant enough, but it kind of left my hair feeling a little… stodgy? I’m not entirely sure how else to describe it! Don’t get me wrong, it certainly got rid of any frizz, made my hair shinier and my hair actually looked fine afterwards. It just didn’t feel too great in terms of texture!
I ordered these two samples from Lily Lolo as they are both described as a light, neutral shade. As you can see from the swatches, they actually differ in colour quite a bit. When I wore Blondie for a day it gave me a bit of a chalky, unhealthy looking skin tone. Barely Buff on the other hand was a little orangey for me, despite being recommended on their website for neutral balanced undertones. Lily Lolo do have quite a large selection of shades though so I think I will try some more at some point!
