When I did my first empties post last year, I had every intention of making it a monthly occurrence. In all honesty though, that was pretty unrealistic as I don’t use things up too quickly with rotating between different products! I’ve been putting aside everything I’ve been gradually finishing up since around the start of May now and I’ve finally saved up a decent selection of products to share my final thoughts on! Bear with me, this could be a long one!
Indie Lee Lemongrass Citrus Body Wash* (reviewed here)
This body wash has such a refreshing citrus scent and I love that it gives you that squeaky clean feeling. It was used up far too quickly though as my other half was using it more than me! This won’t be repurchased for now, but definitely one to remember for the future!
Jason Thin to Thick Extra Volume Shampoo & Conditioner (RRP £8.49 each)
I really did not like these at all! I only ended up getting them as they were on sale a few months ago so I wasn’t expecting much. I feel like these products weighed my hair down more than giving any volume, oh and the smell is just weird – I don’t even know how to describe it! A quarter way through the bottle I gave up with using them on my hair and repurposed the conditioner as a shaving cream and the shampoo as a hand soap/makeup brush cleaner!
Indie Lee Squalane Facial Oil* (£22.00 – reviewed here)
Love this stuff! It’s simply 100% squalane oil derived from olives which is much lighter than other facial oils, plus it’s amazing for boosting cell regeneration and improving elasticity. This bottle lasted me around 6 months, so it works out pretty cost effective in the long run. I’ll be repurchasing soon!
Trilogy Rosehip Oil (20ml £16.50)
I got this for reducing the appearance of stretch marks and I can happily say it does just that. I haven’t finished the whole bottle, but it started smelling bad so I think it’s time to throw out! I’m not in any rush to repurchase at the moment, but I’m sure I will in future.
The Body Deli Green Detox Scrub* (£28.00 – reviewed here)
I’d say The Body Deli are up there as one of my favourite brands! Their products are so unique and are made with some amazing “superfood” ingredients. I loved this scrub and I’ll happily get it again, but I’m eyeing up some of their other body scrubs first!
Indie Lee Calendula Eye Balm (£26.00 – reviewed here)
Another Indie Lee product that I love and I’m sure you’ve probably heard me rave about it before! I only got halfway through the jar after 6 months before it started to go off. This eye balm is super hydrating and is amazing for brightening dark under eye circles. I’ll most definitely be repurchasing as it works so well, but I’ll probably wait until autumn/winter when I’m in need of more hydration.
eos Summer Fruits Lip Balm (£5.99)
Can’t help but love these little spheres! It’s yet another product that I didn’t finish before it started to go off, but I did have it for over a year! This flavour is the only one I’ve tried so far so I’m sure one or two of these will find their way back in to my stash at some point.
Green People Volumising Mascara (RRP £14.75)
As much as I loved this mascara at the time, it does gives a much more natural look than I usually prefer and I didn’t find it very volumising, but they have changed the brush and formula so it may be better now! I always paired it with the Jane Iredale PureLash Extender & Conditioner (both reviewed here). I’ve also finished that one up now too and it’s a firm favourite of mine so I think it will be back in my possession soon!
AloeDent Whitening Toothpaste (£3.79)
Finally there’s this bathroom essential! It’s fluoride and SLS free and it’s the only more “natural” toothpaste that I’ve liked as it’s quite similar to traditional toothpastes in the way it foams up! Not too sure if it does have a noticeable whitening effect, but it’s already been repurchased a fair few times!
Have you used any of these products before?
