If you use natural beauty products too, I think you’ll understand the struggles of finding an affordable mascara that also manages to do a relatively decent job! One of the more budget-friendly natural brands is Benecos, whose products are certified to the German Natural Cosmetics standard (BDIH).
I bought their Multi-Effect Mascara (£6.95) a couple of months ago and, to be completely honest, I really did not like this at all to start with. The first time I used this mascara, it ended up halfway down my face after just a couple of hours! I put it aside and forgot about it for a while, but decided to give it another go recently and I’m so glad I did! I think leaving it for a few weeks had given the formula a chance to thicken up a bit which I find helps it perform much better.
Benecos have 2 other mascara formulas, but this multi-effect one is designed to be the best of both worlds, adding volume and also definition. If I’ve not curled my lashes, I find this mascara give a decent amount of volume and definition, but not much length. When I curl my lashes though, that’s when this mascara really starts to perform for me! I use two coats and I find it holds the curl throughout the whole day, giving a good amount of length and volume without getting clumpy or looking fake. The big bonus is that it doesn’t seem to transfer around my eyes anymore!
(I tried taking before and after photos to properly show you the effects, but it’s so hard to take a decent enough shot. Eye close-ups are not my forte! I’ll keep trying though and hopefully update this post at some point with a photo of this mascara in action!)
Although this isn’t my perfect mascara with the initial transfer issues, I’ll definitely be buying it again as it did end up working really well for me in the end! I purchased mine from Lucy Rose, but you can also find Benecos in the UK at Pravera & Big Green Smile.
Have you tried this mascara or any other Benecos products before?
