Sometimes there really is nothing like a bit of retail therapy, right? Even more so when we’ve all been stuck at home for months on end (2020 is the longest year ever!) and a few new beauty products definitely help to brighten things up! There are a couple of repurchases along with some new-to-me products I fancied trying out too.
One of my all time favourite cleansers Balance Me Cleanse and Smooth Face Balm (previously reviewed here) made it’s way back into my bathroom cabinet. I’d been using up a few sample-sized cleansers and was nearly out so couldn’t resist going back to my tried and tested fave hot cloth cleanser! Balance Me have had a re-brand since I last purchased and I must say I really love the new minimal look.
Another repurchase is Fushi Pure MCT Fractionated Coconut Oil. This is a staple product in my beauty stash, although it’s a food grade, fresh pressed organic oil and can be taken internally too. Topically it’s a superhero for dry skin and I often use it after a shower to prevent any dry areas. I also sometimes use it for cleansing and as a carrier oil for DIYs.
I was in a need of a new toothpaste so picked up the Ben & Anna Sensitive Toothpaste in my latest Ethical Superstore order as a plastic-free swap. I previously tried a different brand of toothpaste-in-a-jar and wasn’t much of a fan so here’s hoping this one fares better. It takes some getting used to scooping out of a jar rather than just squeezing a tube but I don’t find it much of a hassle to be honest!
Mascara is easily one of my most used makeup products. I previously tried the original Lily Lolo Natural Mascara and really liked it so wanted to try the Big Lash Mascara to see how it compares. I’ll post a comparison review once I’ve given it a good test drive – so far it’s doing a good job!
The last new addition is Neal’s Yard Remedies Baby Bath & Shampoo for my little boy. I always keep it simple with the products I use for him. We’ve only tried it a few times so far but the lavender scent is just what you need to help the little ones start to relax for bedtime. Although my son has recently decided he hates having his hair washed, this product makes his hair feel so soft afterwards it definitely gets a thumbs up from me.
Have you tried any of these products before?
