I’ve managed to stick to the same morning skincare routine for the past couple of months now so I thought I would share the products I currently use on a daily basis, especially now I know that my skin is happy with this current routine as it’s had plenty of time to adjust!
I like to start off by using the Michael Todd Honey and Oat Deep Pore Cleanser (reviewed here) (full size $24.00/approx. £15.50) in the shower. It’s lovely and gentle and always leaves my skin feeling clean, soft and refreshed afterwards! If I’m not showering in the morning on days where I’ve had a shower the night before I will use Botanicals Chamomile and Mandarin Skin Tonic (150g £14.95) on a cotton pad instead to refresh my face. Again it’s really gentle and is one of my favourite products as it can also be used as both a toner and a cleanser. When the Michael Todd cleanser runs out I will probably just use the Botanicals Skin Tonic every morning!
Next I spritz a little of the Eden Be Natural Orange Blossom and Witch Hazel Toner* (100ml £12.95) which is refreshing and perfect for balancing oily skin and controlling breakouts thanks to the combination of ingredients: Orange Blossom and Witch Hazel Water with May Chang, Rose Geranium, Tea Tree, Lavender, Sandalwood and Orange essential oils. My skin has been a lot calmer since introducing this into my routine.
After toner I apply the eye cream I’m using at the moment – Michael Todd’s Intensive Organic Cream Eye Treatment ($38.00/ approx. £24.50). I’m not a huge fan of the pump applicator on this as sometimes it will work fine and other times it will get stuck, then suddenly spurt out everywhere! Aside from that it’s a decent moisturising eye cream. It has ever so slightly reduced my dark circles but I’m still continuing my search for the perfect eye cream!
I then moisturise with Michael Todd’s Citrus Cream Moisturiser (full size $29.00/approx. £18.50)(reviewed here), which has just the right balance of being moisturising but still light enough that it’s ideal for using underneath make-up. Finally I finish up with the S.W. Basics Peppermint Lip Balm (£4.00) which has just 4 ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Coconut Oil, Beeswax and Peppermint Essential Oil (all organic). This particular one may not be for everyone but I personally love the tingling lips you’re left with from the Peppermint and find it really refreshing in the morning!
So that’s my current morning skincare routine! I’m sure a few of these may change at some point so maybe I’ll do an updated routine in the future. Do you use any of these products in your daily routine?
