Best Natural Beauty Products of 2014

December 31, 2014 · In: favourites

bestof2014-6949472

Since making the switch to natural products early last year I haven’t looked back and I’m happy to say it was one of the best decisions! I discovered so many brands last year and even more this year! Some of the products I mentioned in my best of 2013 post are still firm favourites, especially Fresh Therapies Nail Polish Remover and Balance Me Cleanse & Smooth Face Balm, so I had to give them a quick mention again! There are so many products I jotted down to include this year, but I’ve just about managed to narrow it down to 8 products that have outshone the rest!

INIKA MINERAL FOUNDATION (reviewed here)

This is by far my favourite loose mineral foundation! I got my first pot around this time last year and have just repurchased again! I can’t recommend this foundation enough and I think it’s most definitely worth the money for the length of time it lasts, plus the quality and finish!

BADGER SLEEP BALM (reviewed here)
A must have for anyone who has trouble relaxing and switching off at night. It can sometimes take me such a long time to fall asleep but I’m literally gone within minutes when I use this balm! I actually need to pick up a new one soon – it’s been out of stock in a lot of places in the UK but I’ll definitely repurchase when I can.

SOAPWALLA DEODORANT CREAM (reviewed here)

This has been a staple for my other half for well over a year now and I’ve been using it occasionally too! It’s one of the few natural cream deodorants that doesn’t irritate either of us with continued use, plus it really works and I love the tea tree scent too!

THE BODY DELI LIVING HAIR SHAMPOO* (reviewed here)

It’s a bold statement, but this is the most unique and probably the best shampoo I’ve ever tried (and also the most expensive)! It’s formulated with sprouted mineral greens and designed to thicken hair and aid regrowth. I already have long hair, but it’s grown so much quicker since using this shampoo and it also seems to enhance my hair colour!

CHRISTOPHER DRUMMOND DUO-PHASE CONCEALER (reviewed here)
This concealer easily beats every single “mainstream” concealer I used to use! The coverage is amazing and you only need to use the smallest amount to cover dark circles and blemishes. I just wish it was more easily available in the UK – it definitely pays to have blogging friends across the pond to get hold of this one!

KARI GRAN SKIN CARE SYSTEM
* (reviewed here)
Since trying out the starter kit a few months ago, I haven’t been able to stop thinking about these products! I fell in love with the cleansing oil, hydrating tonic and essential serum on first use and they all left my skin looking amazing! The whole skin care system is out of my budget at the moment, but I can most definitely see myself being a loyal customer in the future and I might have to treat myself to at least one of the products soon!

LYONSLEAF BEAUTY BALM
* (reviewed here)
I only reviewed this balm last week but it quickly made it onto my favourites list! I love that is has such nourishing ingredients, a little goes a long way and it’s reasonably priced too. I think everyone should have a multi-purpose balm like this in their skincare collection!

YAROK FEED YOUR ENDS (reviewed here)
I’ve lost count of the number of times I’ve raved about this leave-in conditioner/heat protect spray. I use this after every time I wash my hair to help detangle, de-frizz and protect my hair if I’m blow-drying it. I love that the travel sized bottles are affordable and last a long time too.

I also couldn’t go without an honorable mention to some more products I’ve been loving recently: Balance Me Wonder Eye Cream, Nvey Eco High Definition Cake Eyeliner, Pacifica Stellar Gaze Length & Strength Mascara, Suti Cleansing Balm and Kure Bazaar nail polish – look out for reviews of these coming up in the new year!

Have you tried any of these before? What have your favourite natural products been this year?

One last makeup fave to end 2021! 100% PURE Fruit One last makeup fave to end 2021! 100% PURE Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara 🌿

My favourite new encounter this year has been with one of the most well-known mascaras in clean and natural beauty from @100percentpure

I have no idea why I took me so long to try this one, it’s now firmly in my top 5 for natural mascaras!

If you’re after extra length for your lashes, this mascara absolutely delivers. It also smells like berries, lasts all day and holds a curl too 🙌

Of course we couldn’t go without mentioning my all-time fave makeup brand @inikaorganic 😍 I’ve used and loved their products for years now and lost count of the number of repurchases of the mineral foundation in particular! Pictured here are the lipstick, lipstick crayon and mineral blush puff pot.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
There’s also my total HG product @hyntbeauty DUET Perfecting Concealer 🙌 If you need a full coverage, naturally-formulated concealer and haven’t tried this one yet… well let’s just say you need to put it to the top of your wish list for 2022! Captain Blankenship Mermaid Dry Shampoo 🌊
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I briefly mentioned this one the other day, but it deserves it’s own post as one of my favourites this year!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Dry shampoo is a life-saver on those days where your hair is starting to look a little greasy, but you don’t have the time for washing it. Let’s be honest, I’m going to have even less time for that dreaded hair-wash day come January with a newborn 🙈
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I’ve tried a fair few naturally formulated dry shampoos over the years and @captainblankenship Mermaid Dry Shampoo is one of the best! I really love the uplifting scent of rose geranium and palmarosa that lingers throughout the day too.

A favourite this year for an evening cleanse with A favourite this year for an evening cleanse with @nealsyardremedies Frankincense Intense Cleansing Melt

It’s one of those more unique products as it changes through 3 different textures so it’s ideal to highlight for #texturetuesday too!
⁣
It starts off as a gel which then melts into oil on the skin. Then when you add warm water it emulsifies into a creamy milk consistency (swipe to see)!
⁣
It’s the loveliest luxurious and relaxing product to use as it smells amazing and leaves the skin super soft too 😊️

I’m sure I’ve mentioned before how mascara is one of my favourite types of makeup product! @100percentpure Fruit Pigmented Ultra Lengthening Mascara is easily in my top 5 “clean” mascaras!

This is the one to choose if you’re after longer lashes. It holds a curl, lasts allll day without flaking or smudging, plus it smells like berries too! What’s not to love 😍
